Lynne Moir

Dear Membership,

It is with great sadness that we share our friend and fellow Lake Underwood Nimrod Club member, Lynne Moir, passed away on Sunday October 29th. Kirk Moir asked that we contact club members to communicate Lynne’s passing.  According to Kirk, Lynne suffered with breathing problems during the last few months.  She was admitted to the hospital early last week and was in intensive care. Final arrangements are being made.  Below is a photo of Lynne.  Our thoughts and prayers go to the Moir family.

Shooting Range Renovation

Dear fellow members,

We are in the process of renovating the shooting range.  I think those of you that use it will be quite pleased with the improvements that are being made.  A large earthen backstop has been created; projectiles should never ever go anywhere else in the future.  A walking trail has been opened up from the road and there is a sluice pipe and single car parking spot.  The range has been graded out so that you can now comfortably walk across it.  The committee is in the process of drafting up rules for the range use to be presented to the trustees in October for their approval.

Please respect that this is currently a work in progress.  The range and the trail were just freshly graded.  We’d like to get grass established to hold the little bit of soil that is there.  Keep all vehicles including ATVs off the trail and range.

And absolutely no more deliberately shooting into trees.

Respectfully,
Chuck and the Range Committee
